Caleb Cunningham will not be visiting Auburn for Big Cat Weekend

Speculation about Cunningham flipping to Auburn has seemingly come to an end after he dispelled the rumors.

Five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham announced he will not be visiting the Plains for ‘Big Cat Weekend’ at the end of July. The No. 3 pass catcher in the 2025 class posted his intentions on Twitter/X on Tuesday afternoon.

Cunningham committed to cross state Rival Alabama earlier this month, but speculation surrounding the Ackerman, Mississippi native flipping to Auburn began to rise this week after multiple reports surfaced saying the Tigers expected him on campus for their biggest recruiting event of the summer. That speculation has now seemingly been put to rest after Cunningham himself dispelled the rumors.

If Hugh Freeze and company are able to somehow flip the No. 1 recruit from Mississippi, they’d add another elite receiver to an already extremely dynamic and young group of pass catchers. The 6-1, 190 pound Cunningham is coming off a junior season in which he hauled in 48 receptions for 1,138 yards and 14 touchdowns.

For now, it looks like the uber-productive high school standout is destined to become a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
