Detroit Pistons rookie Cade Cunningham drained his first career 3-pointer on Thursday night, and the No. 1 overall pick did so in grand fashion over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Cunningham, appearing in just his third game, finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal in the loss for his first career double-double. He once again struggled to shoot from the field, though, going just 4-of-17 from the field and 1-of-7 from 3-point range.
However, Cunningham pulled up from well beyond the arc for his first triple.
With the shot clock set to expire, Cunningham was forced to let it fly from the Pistons’ logo. Cunningham hit the shot, becoming just the seventh player in the NBA this season to hit from at least 34 feet, according to Basketball-Reference.

Cunningham joined the likes of LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Trae Young to hit from at least 34 feet this season.
Of course, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also joined that list after his incredible shot on Thursday to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a stunning win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Needless to say, Cunningham’s first 3-pointer was a fun one.
