The Arizona Cardinals are the latest team to be affected by the coronavirus. It was reported that two players tested positive over the weekend. However, everything will continue as scheduled for the team as they return to practice after the bye week.
“It’ll be business as usual when it comes to practice today,” he told reporters Monday morning.
The team did not have to close the facility like other teams with positive tests have had to. The positive tests came after the team had already finished practice for the week.
As previously reported, the team did a deep cleaning of the facility on Sunday. The impact appears to be minimal.
“Luckily, the contact tracing was limited and yesterday’s test results were all negative,” Kingsbury said.
Players had to come in daily between 6:30-9 a.m. even on their days off for testing.
Because there has been limited contact and no new positive tests, they can proceed as they normally would.
Kingsbury would not name who the players were who tested positive, but the team will add those players and any others who had close contact with them to the COVID-19 reserve this afternoon.
