The two most common names discussed for the Colorado Buffaloes in the NFL draft are Nate Landman and Carson Wells.
However, let’s not forget about offensive lineman Kary Kutsch.
With the 2022 NFL draft beginning on Thursday evening in Las Vegas, Kutsch has drawn more interest over the past few weeks and has a shot to get an NFL deal if he goes undrafted.
In fact, Kutsch said one team with interest is the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Brian Howell of BuffZone.
Kutsch said other teams have been calling as well, and with the need for OL just about everywhere in the league, that is a good sign (h/t BuffZone).
“A couple of teams are calling now and kind of confirming things a little bit here and there. The picture’s not exactly clear yet. I won’t know until it’s all finally decided, but things are clearing up a little bit, making me feel a bit better.”
The Buffs are trying to make this the third straight draft in which an OL has been selected, with Arlington Hambright and Will Sherman being the others.
Whether or not Kutsch gets drafted remains to be seen, and there is a big possibility of all three of Kutsch, Wells and Landman going undrafted this upcoming weekend.
Nonetheless, the three Buffs should be on NFL rosters when the summer begins, barring some unforeseen circumstances.
