‘Et tu brute?’ is what anyone in Columbus, Ohio must be asking on Friday. Because Buffalo Wild Wings, the franchise born in the heart of the city that holds the Ohio State University, just took the side of the Wolverines over the Buckeyes.

It started with the Columbus-based franchise asking what the worst sports loss that fans have experienced, which led to a reply from Michigan’s Barstool Sports viceroy of the 2016 iteration of The Game, which ended in double overtime in the favor of OSU. However, the play before the end — well, if you’re reading this, you know how it went.

Either quarterback J.T. Barrett was short or he wasn’t.

Regardless, BWW is taking a stand on the issue, and apparently siding with the Wolverines. Or, at least, the social media manager for the restaurant chain is.

That has to hurt those in Columbus who thought that Buffalo Wild Wings was on their side here. Either way, now nearly five years after the fact, it’s all in good fun, even if it still hurts.
