The Buffalo Bills’ athletic training staff will be honored at the 2023 ESPY Awards.
It was announced that the group will receive the Pat Tillman Service Award at this year’s event. The ESPYs is ESPN’s yearly award show. It’s set to take place on July 12.
The award honors a person or group that displays “a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player and U.S. Army Ranger, Pat Tillman.”
The Bills training staff group is being honored for their life-saving actions put into place when safety Damar Hamlin collapsed during a game in 2022. He suffered cardiac arrest after tackling an opponent.
The Pat Tillman Award for Service was established in 2014.
