What is this team doing with TJ Yeldon?

Yeldon was brought in to provide some depth in the backfield. The room seemed to be crowded last year, with McCoy, Singeltary, Gore, and Yeldon. McCoy was released, and Yeldon was largely inactive throughout the year.

He had some issues with ball security in the preseason. Even so, Yeldon still was useful in the receiving game. He still caught the ball well when called upon. However, his usage was limited. Yeldon dressed in only six games last year, rushing the ball only 17 times. In the first two games of the year, he played a combined five snaps.

If Yeldon does make the final roster, the team needs a better plan for utilizing his skill set. It’s surprising that the 26-year-old, who signed a two-year deal with the Bills for $3.2 million, would be relegated to the bench for so long once again.
