The Buffalo Bills continued the first trim of their roster ahead of the NFL’s initial deadline to do so during the 2022 offseason. By Wednesday, the Bills had to be down to 85 players and now Buffalo is below that at 84 after cutting two more.
On Tuesday, the team announced that cornerback Tim Harris and linebacker Marquel Lee have been released.
The latest transactions come following the Bills’ decision to release four other players over the weekend.
In total, the six players let go by the Bills include:
- TE Jalen Wydermayer
- CB Olajiah Griffin
- OL Jordan Simmons
- OL Derek Kerstetter
- LB Marquel Lee
- CB Tim Harris
Both Harris and Lee were considered long shots to make Buffalo’s final 53-man roster out of training camp. The pair have both also had two spells with the Bills.
Harris was signed late in training camp last summer but was among the team’s final cuts. He eventually landed on the practice squad during the regular season.
Lee spent part of the 2021 offseason in Buffalo but was Las Vegas Raiders as well, including during the 2022 regular season.
