The Buffalo Buffalo stunned themselves as much as they did the rest of the NFL in Week 9.
The Bills (5-3) loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6). No one expected that in the 9-6 final.
Afterword, Bills quarterback Josh Allen was not once for mincing words.
“Credit to them, they came out, they wanted it more,” Allen said via video conference. “I put the ball in danger too often. Bit us in the butt. Play like s—, excuse my language. I have to be better for this team.”
Allen did have a point.
The QB was 31-for-47 passing for 264 yards. The key was the three turnover he had.
Two interceptions with a lost fumble.
A week prior, Buffalo did struggle on offense. The Bills only put up three points in one half against the Miami Dolphins.
Buffalo went out on to find a way to win that game, however, that wasn’t the case in Jacksonville.
Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott was straight forward about as well. He recognized that it’s essentially any given Sunday in the NFL.
“It’s a one week at a time league,” McDermott said “We got to go back and fix some things and make sure we identify where those problems are, particularly on the offensive side right now and get them fixed in a hurry.”
The Bills exit Week 9 with three losses.
That’s the same total Buffalo had all of last season.
