Buffalo at Ohio odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Buffalo at Ohio odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Buffalo Bulls (5-3, 4-0 MAC) meet the Ohio Bobcats (5-3, 3-1) Tuesday at Peden Stadium in Athens, Ohio. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Buffalo vs. Ohio odds, and make our expert college football piks and predictions.

The Bulls head into Tuesday on a 5-game win streak, while also covering each game during the impressive run. Buffalo has used a combination of consistent offense and strong defense to turn things around and has scored 24 or more points in 7 straight games and allowed just 15.3 PPG across its last 4 contests.

The Bobcats can move into 1st place in the MAC East with a win against the Bulls who are unbeaten in the East Division. Ohio would own the tiebreaker with a chance to face Bowling Green — another East contender — down the road. Ohio has covered 4 games in a row.

Buffalo at Ohio picks and predictions

Prediction

Ohio 31, Buffalo 28

Moneyline

OHIO (+125) is worth a look in this very important home game. The Bobcats have things set up nicely for a run to Detroit and the MAC Championship Game, getting both Buffalo and Bowling Green, the closest contenders in the East, both at home.

The Bobcats have won all 4 of their home games to date while going 3-0 ATS in its 3 games against FBS opponents. Tuesday will be no different.

Against the spread

OHIO +2.5 (+100) is a decent play at even money, although it is still a much better value on the money line.

While Buffalo has strong numbers, including a 4-0-1 ATS mark in the past 5 road outings, Ohio is 4-0 ATS in the past 4 in the MAC and 20-8 ATS in the past 28 against teams with a winning overall record.

The public is on Buffalo at nearly a 2-to-1 clip, too, and that makes me like OU even more.

Over/Under

Over 58.5 (-114) would be the slight lean here, but it’s not worth paying slightly extra in a game that will be very close to the number.
