Aidan Hutchinson had one pressure yesterday after at least 6 in every game. Luke Goedeke is playing some really good football at RT. Bucs may have their tackle tandem set https://t.co/6uSgaCSp9r

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tackle [autotag]Luke Goedeke[/autotag] certainly had a rough rookie campaign. But a position change and some sophomore experience has seen him make great strides so far in 2023.
How he would fare against vaunted Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson was a talking point heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions, and while the offense was only able to score six points, Hutchinson didn’t have anything to do with it. According to PFF’s Brad Spielberger, Goedeke was instrumental in limiting Hutchinson to just one pressure on Sunday — and Hutchinson has had at least six in every game to that point. Goedeke has so far made a great impact as a right tackle, and it’s a big departure from his first season in Tampa Bay.
So far this season, Goedeke has a 75.0 pass-blocking grade from PFF, which is significantly better than the 46.7 pass-blocking grade he put up when he was playing guard in 2022. While the unit’s run blocking has left quite a bit to be desired this year, the Bucs’ pass-blocking has been top-notch and a big reason why has been the play of Goedeke in 2023.
