Bucs open as 3.5-point underdogs vs. New Orleans Saints

The Saints are favored in the matchup despite murkiness surrounding the quarterback position after QB Derek Carr’s shoulder injury.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to face off against one of their fiercest rivals, and opening betting lines don’t have them emerging victorious.

The Bucs are set to face off against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and BetMGM’s opening lines has the Saints favored by 3.5 points. The Saints are also decently favored on the money line at -175 to Tampa Bay’s +145.

Both the Bucs and the Saints are 2-1 heading into Week 4, with the Bucs losing at home to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Saints losing on the road to the Green Bay Packers. The Saints have a strong roster, but the fact that they open as favorites among bettors is fairly interesting given their quarterback situation — with Derek Carr “week to week” with a shoulder injury, there’s some uncertainty at whether he or QB Jameis Winston will be under center for New Orleans.

The two teams will face off in New Orleans at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
