The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have an additional selection in the 2024 NFL draft.
Projections had the Bucs receiving a seventh-round compensatory selection in this year’s draft, but the official list was just announced by the NFL, and Tampa Bay’s extra pick will actually come a round earlier.
The Bucs are without a fifth-round pick this time around, so having an extra pick in the sixth round boosts their overall draft capital.
As recently as last year, Tampa Bay was able to find an impact player in the sixth round with Nebraska wide receiver Trey Palmer, who showed plenty of promise and delivered some big plays as the team’s third wide receiver behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Official word on NFL compensatory draft picks for next month — Saints get three fifth-rounders, as projected, and Bucs actually get a sixth-rounder, higher than some thought. pic.twitter.com/V2FTflXbPk
