Bucs awarded 2 compensatory picks in 2023 NFL draft

As expected, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a couple of additional picks in the 2023 NFL draft

As expected, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a couple of additional picks in the 2023 NFL draft.

The Bucs were awarded compensatory selections in the fifth (No. 175 overall) and seventh (No. 252 overall) rounds of this year’s draft.

These picks make up for free agents the Bucs lost to other teams last offseason, after accounting for any comparable additions Tampa Bay made during the same year.

The fifth-round pick the Bucs received counts for safety Jordan Whitehead, who signed with the New York Jets, while the seventh-rounder is for tight end O.J. Howard, who signed with the Buffalo Bills.
