Bucs adding a familiar name to new offensive coaching staff

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ new offensive coaching staff is starting to take shape, and one new addition is a familiar name

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ new offensive coaching staff is starting to take shape, and one name Bucs fans might recognize is joining the ranks.

Following new offensive coordinator Dave Canales from Seattle will be Seahawks assistant wide receivers coach Brad Idzik, who will serve as Tampa Bay’s wide receivers coach.

If that name sounds familiar, it’s because John Idzik, Brad’s father, worked for the Bucs in various personnel roles from 1993 through 2004.

The elder Idzik would eventually spend two seasons as the general manager for the New York Jets.

Brad helped DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett both log over 1,000 yards receiving last season, and he’ll now get to work with two more stud pass-catchers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
