The death of George Floyd has sparked outrage and protests worldwide and NFL players are among the many speaking out against the injustice and racism they see in our system.
Buccaneers players took part in #BlackoutTuesday and several NFL players have come out with harsh words for New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, whose recent comments caught many off guard. While Brees has apologized and appeared sincere in his explanation, it’s clear his words have rubbed many, including Saints fans, the wrong way.
And, in a time such as this, it is important to stay united and committed to bringing about change for the better. The Bucs today released a statement today once again affirming their commitment to helping end systemic injustice.
