Bryce Young jokes about young fan’s viral fist-bump denial

On Saturday, Panthers QB Bryce Young was hilariously left hanging by a young fan named Micah. He spoke about the viral interaction this afternoon.

So, how is Bryce Young feeling after getting stiffed by a child?

The Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback was asked about his recent interaction with a young fan named Micah. Micah, in a move that would go viral, adorably opted not to reciprocate Bryce’s fist bump at the start of Saturday’s training camp practice.

But Young has no hard feelings towards his new pal.

“It happens every once in a while,” he replied. “It’s happened to everyone, I guess, right? But, actually, shoutout—his name’s Micah. Really good kid. He was really cool. I know it wasn’t on purpose.

“But, yeah, it was great, honestly. Being able to walk out with him and just all the fan interactions, having kids down there. Again, I think it just speaks to the collective buy-in that the fans have for the organization, which we all—as a team—really appreciate.”

So with that said, we hope to see Bryce and Micah reunite some time this season and complete some unfinished business.
