Auburn football has named its leaders for the 2021 season.
Bryan Harsin tweeted out that Owen Pappoe and Chandler Wooten were named to be Auburn’s captains for the 2021 football season.
Per Harsin’s tweet, the selections were voted on by their teammates.
Wooten returns to football after opting out of the season last year due to Covid concerns. His return to the team has elevated the energy in the locker room.
Pappoe was chosen to represent Auburn at SEC Media Days over the summer.
The Tigers open up the season against Akron on September 4.
