Browns upend Steelers in snowstorm on Nick Chubb’s second TD of game

Nick Chubb’s second touchdown gives the Browns a win over the Steelers

There’s snow place like home for the Cleveland Browns.

In an absolute whiteout on Thursday, Nick Chubb scored his second touchdown of the game on a two-yard run with 57 seconds left and the Browns escaped with a 24-19 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC North clash.

In the fickle world of the NFL, Cleveland is 3-8, and has defeated the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens at home while losing there to the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Steelers are 8-3, and all the losses have come to teams that now have sub-.500 records. In addition to losing to the Browns, the Steelers have lost to the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys.

The Browns looked to be in control of the game, taking an 18-6 lead midway through the fourth quarter on an acrobatic run by Jameis Winston and two-point conversion.

However, prosperity was not going to be easy for the Browns. Pittsburgh scored two touchdowns in 102 seconds to take a 19-18 lead. The second touchdown, a pass from Russell Wilson to Calvin Austin III was set up after the Steelers picked off a Winston pass.

The Browns’ final drive was anything but an artistic success in the snow. It was nine plays over 45 yards and took 2:25.

On the drive, Cleveland made its lone third-down conversion attempt of the game. The Browns wound up 1-of-10 on third down. In a weird coincidence, Cleveland was 4-of-4 on fourth down.
