Browns surge as Pierre Strong Jr. finds the endzone after big Jerome Ford run

The running backs are stepping up in the absence of Nick Chubb

The Cleveland Browns are back in front of the Pittsburgh Steelers, thanks primarily to a massive run by running back Jerome Ford that got them all the way down to the one-yard line. The drive was capped off by a one-yard run by newly acquired running back Pierre Strong Jr. The Browns then went on to convert the two-point conversion to give them a three-point lead over the Steelers.

With still over a quarter and a half left to play in this game, the Browns are looking to advance to 2-0 on the season.

Can the Browns continue to step up in the absence of running back Nick Chubb? Even escaping Monday night against the Steelers is just the first step. However, this would also give them a fresh start to prepping for life without Chubb.

Strong and Ford are doing their best to keep the Browns afloat at the running back position in the meantime.
