Browns pass on defensive tackle and wide receiver in recent mock draft

The Browns upgraded their secondary in Touchdown Wire’s latest mock draft

Mock drafts, mock drafts, mock drafts. We have reached the point of the offseason where one can find 2023 NFL Mock Draft at every turn of the corner. And a new one completed by Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar has the Cleveland Browns opting against a defensive tackle or a wide receiver in favor of a safety. With the 42nd overall pick in Farrar’s mock draft, the Browns selected Texas A&M safety Antonio Johnson.

As the Browns likely look for two safeties in free agency and the draft, with Ronnie Harrison and John Johnson III likely exit, there are a variety of ways to do it. Using the 42nd overall pick on Johnson is one of those pathways.
