Browns land free agent DT Dalvin Tomlinson on four-year deal worth $57 million

The Browns make a significant upgrade to their defensive line.

The Cleveland Browns landed the massive upgrade to their interior defensive line that was so desperately needed. While they missed out on Javon Hargrave and Dre’Mont Jones, they have landed the better run defender (as they take a lesser able pass rusher) in Dalvin Tomlinson late at night on the first day of NFL free agency. They now pair Tomlinson with their other free agent signing in Ogbonnia Okoronkwo.

The Browns have inked him to a four-year deal worth just under $15 million per year. They guaranteed less than the first two years of the deal as well, giving them an out after the 2024 season. Just because Tomlinson is not on the level that Jones or Hargrave are as pass rushers do not mean he is a two-down player, however. His pass rush grade was still 77.6 this past season according to PFF.
