Browns Injury Alert: C Ethan Pocic leaves Jaguars game with injury

Cleveland Browns starting center Ethan Pocic exited the Jacksonville Jaguars game during the first quarter with an injury.

Cleveland Browns starting center Ethan Pocic exited the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars during the first quarter. Pocic was executing a block when he fell and got caught in the scrum. Pocic walked off the field under his own power and went immediately to the medical tent. Pocic walked into the locker room a couple of minutes after.

Starting fullback Nick Harris is Pocic’s backup. The veteran Harris has been the backup center since he was drafted. Harris is a capable center, he previously started against the Green Bay Packers on Christmas day. He played very well against Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

The Browns have been plagued by injury all year. Rookie tackle Dawand Jones was surprisingly ruled out earlier this week after he reaggravated a knee injury.

UPDATE: Pocic has been diagnosed with a stinger and is questionable to return.
