Browns fans show their hypocrisy over brawl with T-shirt

The Browns fans and many members of the media just don’t get it.

The fight at the end of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns game last week has become one of the most polarizing incidents in recent NFL memory. Most non-Steeler fans and especially Browns fans have turned this whole thing into a blame-fest aiming their vitriol at Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. The shirt by a Cleveland artist illustrates that point perfectly.

But that mentality is the height of hypocrisy. All you have to do is flip the scenario to show how foolish they sound. Had the score been 21-7 Steelers and on the final play defensive tackle Cam Heyward plants Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield like Myles Garrett did Rudolph,

Is there any Browns fan who would vilify Mayfield if he responded the way Rudolph did? Of course there not. If Heyward had hit Mayfield over the head with his own helmet, I’d fully support the idea of the league suspending him for the season. And I certainly wouldn’t try to lay blame at the quarterback who was just trying to defend himself.

Fans and pundits who are taking this blame Rudolph approach really need to think about how foolish they look when you consider this could be your quarterback.
