Browns: Cedric Tillman can rise to the occasion if Amari Cooper is sidelined vs. Steelers?

The rookie can hold down the fort if Cooper misses time

The Cleveland Browns got some bad news on Saturday when wide receiver Amari Cooper reaggravated his groin injury making him questionable for Monday night’s game in Pittsburgh. Though there is still a chance he plays against the Steelers, but if he doesn’t the team still has plenty of talent at the position. Third-round pick Cedric Tillman has shown the skill set to step in if the team needs him.

Though Tillman isn’t the exact kind of player Cooper is he has the size and physicality to make plays in his place. He has shown great body control and the ability to make tough contested catches, especially in the red zone.

This game could show exactly why the team drafted Tillman after adding Elijah Moore, you can never have enough playmakers in the passing game. Donovan Peoples-Jones will play a big part as well but mixing in another good route runner with reliable hands and good athleticism in Tillman the team can be just fine for a game or two without Cooper.
