Browns can no longer clinch playoff spot this week with wins by Steelers, Bills

The Browns came in with playoff-clinching scenarios with a win against the Texans, but the Steelers and Bills have dashed that dream.

While they came into the week with a chance to clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Houston Texans, the Cleveland Browns will no longer have that opportunity. Due to wins by both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills on Saturday, all playoff-clinching scenarios are now off the table for the Browns.

However, this now puts the responsibility back onto the Browns to take care of business against Case Keenum and the Texans today. If they do, then they will play for the right to go to the playoffs in front of the best fans in America at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Thursday night instead.

What a sight it would be for the Browns to take down the New York Jets on primetime television at home to head to the playoffs. They cannot look past the hampered Texans first, however, but the Browns are in complete control of their own destiny the rest of the way out.
