Browns begin to report to training camp on Friday

Between today and, hopefully, the Super Bowl, the only respite for Browns players will be the bye week:

Its beginning to feel a lot like football. Not the cool breeze of the fall where leaves are changing colors but the hot blistering sun of training camp with humidity sending sweat pouring out of everyone.

For the Cleveland Browns, training camp officially opens on Wednesday with the team and the league still awaiting a decision by Judge Sue Robinson. QB Deshaun Watson could be facing discipline but whether there is discipline and, if there is, how long he is suspended is all up in the air.

Yet, Friday starts the process of players reporting with rookies and quarterbacks reporting to the team. This allows the players to get walked through everything for the first time as rookies and for the quarterbacks to be prepared to lead the offense.

Once players start reporting and taking physicals and conditioning tests, we may get some added to the Physically Unable to Perform list. For Cleveland, OT Jack Conklin is the biggest name to watch coming back from his knee injury last year.

The Browns 2022 year starts today and, hopefully, ends at the Super Bowl. Only the bye week will provide a break for the players between now and then.
