Brooklyn Nets player grades: Nets fall to 2-3 with loss to Miami

Despite Kevin Durant’s 25 points, the Brooklyn Nets fell to the Miami Heat and are now under .500 for the year.

The Brooklyn Nets dropped a home game to the Miami Heat on Wednesday and fell to 2-3 on the season, as Kevin Durant‘s 25-point performance wasn’t enough to keep Brooklyn in the game.

Bam Adebayo (24 PTS, 9 REBS) and Miami took advantage of Brooklyn  in the paint. The Heat outscored Brooklyn 48-34 in the interior, pulling down 17 offensive rebounds as well en route to a 106-93 win. By the end of the game, Miami had taken 11 more shots than the Nets.

In the contest, Kevin Durant (25 PTS, 11 REBS) still torched the Heat’s defense despite giving their new acquisition PJ Tucker the assignment defensively.

James Harden got himself to the free throw line eight times, but still showed frustration with the officiating throughout the contest. As for sharpshooter Joe Harris (816 career 3PM), he tied and passed Nets legend Jason Kidd (813 career 3PM) as the franchise’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made on his way to 15 points.
