The Brooklyn Nets just made an upgrade to the basketball operations staff, adding former NBA executive Jeff Bower in a scouting role.
Basketball insider Marc Stein reported that the former Pistons GM has joined the Nets.
Bower joins the franchise after a short stint with the Phoenix Suns, where he served as senior vice president of basketball operations. He left the position following the Phoenix Suns’ 2021 NBA Finals run. Bower helped rebuild the Suns team, helping add Chris Paul to the roster.
He had a variety of positions for the Hornets during their rebuild through Hurricane Katrina, and served as both the general manager and head coach for a stint.
The Nets have hired former Hornets and Pistons GM Jeff Bower in a scouting role, league sources say.
Bower joins Brooklyn after a stint in the Suns' front office, which ended after Phoenix's trip to the NBA Finals in 2020-21.
