Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (38-35) visit South Beach Saturday to play the first-place Miami Heat (47-27). Tip-off at the FTX Arena is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls vs. Heat odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Brooklyn is 4-2 straight up (SU) and 3-3 against the spread (ATS) in the last six games but lost to the Grizzlies 132-120 in Memphis Wednesday.

Miami is 2-4 SU and 0-6 ATS over the past two weeks with the latest being a 111-103 home loss to the New York Knicks Friday as a 9.5-point favorite. The Heat were outscored 38-15 by the Knicks in the fourth quarter.

The Heat are going for a season sweep of the Nets. Miami is 2-1 ATS vs. the Brooklyn in the first three games with an 1-2 Over/Under record.

Nets at Heat odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 119, Heat 108

Money line

PASS.

I’m confident enough in Brooklyn to lay the points instead of betting a pricey Nets (-200) ML.

However, things in Miami are becoming a little unglued because the Heat have dealt with injuries and haven’t built continuity.

Whereas things in Brooklyn are forging thanks to New York City changing its vaccine policy and PF Kevin Durant turning it up down the stretch.

KD is probably the best player on the planet. In 10 games since returning from an injury March 3, he is averaging 30.5 points on 54.4% shooting with 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game.

Durant, PF Kyrie Irving and the Nets, at nearly full strength, should overwhelm the Heat, but I’d rather lay the points.

Against the spread

BET the NETS -4.5 (-120) for 1 unit.

The Heat have the worst ATS margin over the past two weeks, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG) and have lost six straight ATS.

Also, Miami’s victory over the Nets in Brooklyn earlier this month was a tough beat for Nets backers. Brooklyn led by as many as 16 points and was outscored 53-40 in the second half.

Given each teams’ current form and Brooklyn’s motivation to get out of the play-in territory, I’ll TAKE the NETS -4.5 (-120).

Over/Under

LEAN to the UNDER 229.5 (-107) since this total has been steamed up from 227.5 and everyone is betting the Over, according to Pregame.com.

However, the Nets are 4-1 O/U in the last five games and Brooklyn, with KD and Kyrie on the floor together, is a scary offense. Also, Miami is 4-0 O/U in the last four games despite struggling on offense lately.

Hence, only a LEAN to the UNDER 229.5 (-107).
