Bronny James could miss season after suffering a torn meniscus

Bronny, the oldest son of LeBron James, reportedly underwent surgery recently to repair a torn meniscus in his knee.

Bronny James, the oldest son of LeBron James, recently underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee and could miss the entire season for Sierra Canyon High School, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

James, who is a five-star recruit in the class of 2023, reportedly suffered the injury earlier this month in practice but is expected to make a full recovery following surgery. He confirmed the injury during a live stream on Twitch with his followers.

Sierra Canyon has not yet played basketball this season due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, the school is expected to play at some point in the future during the spring once California permits indoor high school competition.

His return to play will be dependent on his recovery and when basketball will resume again in California.

Bronny spent part of the NBA offseason training with his father in Los Angeles. He looked to be visibly taller standing next to LeBron compared to some of his older photos. The 16-year-old has previously said that he is 6-foot-2 but he has likely grown since then.
