The Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds was placed on injured reserve on Saturday with what the team described as a hand injury. That will rule Reynolds out for at least the next four games.
Reynolds (6-3, 194 pounds) recently underwent minor finger surgery and the procedure was successful, according to KPRC-TV’s Aaron Wilson. He will will now miss the team’s upcoming games against the Los Angeles Chargers (home), New Orleans Saints (away), Carolina Panthers (home) and Baltimore Ravens (away).
The earliest Reynolds would be eligible to return would be for a Week 10 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs on the road on Nov. 10. The 29-year-old receiver hauled in 12 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown before injuring his finger.
Denver’s leading receiver will remain Courtland Sutton. Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Reynolds had been the second-most involved WRs before the Reynolds injury. Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin could be more involved going forward, and Devaughn Vele should be active on Sunday after being a healthy scratch in recent weeks.
