In his latest NFL mock draft for Touchdown Wire, Mark Schofield explains what he would do, rather than predicting what he thinks teams will do.
If he were in charge of the Broncos, Schofield would trade up from No. 15 in the first round to No. 9 to select Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. All it takes for Denver to move up in Schofield’s mock is picks Nos. 15 and 46.
“Given that the Broncos need to put another weapon in place for Drew Lock, they cannot afford to see who might fall to them at 15,” Schofield wrote. “So they trade up with the Jacksonville Jaguars and make sure they get their guy.”
During his three years with the Sooners, Lamb caught 173 passes for 3,292 yards and 32 touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown. Lamb would be an excellent addition to Denver’s offense, complementing a passing attack that already includes Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant.
