Broncos still on track to have an early pick in 2020 NFL draft

When will the Broncos pick in the 2020 NFL draft?

Despite winning three of the last four games that quarterback Drew Lock has started, the Denver Broncos are still on track to select 11th overall in the 2020 NFL draft. Here’s the current order of the top-12 picks, according to Tankathon.com:

  1. Cincinnati Bengals (1-14)
  2. Washington Redskins (3-12)
  3. Detroit Lions (3-11-1)
  4. New York Giants (4-11)
  5. Miami Dolphins (4-11)
  6. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-10)
  7. Los Angeles Chargers (5-10)
  8. Carolina Panthers (5-10)
  9. Arizona Cardinals (5-9-1)
  10. New York Jets (6-9)
  11. Denver Broncos (6-9)
  12. Cleveland Browns (6-9)

The Browns (6-9), Atlanta Falcons (6-9), Oakland Raiders (7-8), Dallas Cowboys (7-8), Indianapolis Colts (7-8), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8) and Chicago Bears (7-8) are all close behind Denver so much of the draft order won’t be sorted out until Week 17.

The Broncos could drop from 11 all the way down to the high teens, depending on what happens in Sunday’s games. Denver can’t pick higher than sixth overall because there are five teams that have 11 losses and the Broncos won’t end the year with more than 10 losses.

The 2020 NFL draft will take place in Las Vegas from April 23-25.
