In his latest three-round 2023 NFL mock draft, Curt Popejoy of Draft Wire has the Denver Broncos selecting Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt in the third round.
Popejoy has quarterbacks Drake Maye (No. 2), Caleb Williams (No. 7), Jayden Daniels (No. 10) going off the board before the Broncos pick Penn State edge rusher Chop Robinson with their first-round pick (No. 14).
Denver passes over Bo Nix (No. 20) and J.J. McCarthy (No. 44) in the first round to select Robinson. The Broncos then don’t go back on the clock until the third round (they traded their second-round pick for Sean Payton).
In the third round, Michael Penix Jr. (No. 67) and Shedeur Sanders (No. 68) go off the board before Denver picks Pratt at No. 78.
Pratt (6-2, 200 pounds) completed 65.4% of his passes for 2,406 yards with 22 touchdowns against five interceptions in 11 games with the Green Wave this fall. In four seasons (46 games), he completed 60.6% of his passes for 9,611 yards with 90 touchdowns and 26 interceptions.
