In his latest 2024 NFL mock draft, Jeff Risdon of Draft Wire has the Denver Broncos adding a star on the defensive side of the ball with their first pick.
Risdon has the Broncos landing Alabama pass rusher Dallas Turner with the fourth overall pick in next April’s draft. Here is Risdon’s commentary with the selection:
What do you get the worst defense in NFL history through four games? How about a disruptive force in Turner who keeps getting better and stronger for the Crimson Tide…
Turner (6-4, 245 pounds) totaled 26 tackles (nine behind the line) and 6.5 sacks through his first six games at Alabama this fall. Dating back to the 2021 season, he has recorded 19 sacks in 30 games.
Risdon has quarterback Caleb Williams going off the board first overall, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. going second overall and tight end Brock Bowers going third overall before Denver goes on the clock.
