After the Denver Broncos punched their ticket to the playoffs following a Week 18 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback Bo Nix was nominated for a pair of weekly awards following his historic performance.
Nix has been nominated for Air Player of the Week honors and the Rookie of the Week award on NFL.com. Nix went 26-of-29 passing for 321 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-0 win, posting a near-perfect passer rating of 152.4.
Nix tied a career high in touchdown passes (he had four against the Atlanta Falcons) and made NFL history by becoming the first rookie to have multiple four-touchdown, no turnover, 300+ yard performances with a 140 or higher passer rating.
Nix finished his (regular season) rookie campaign with almost 3,800 yards passing, 29 passing touchdowns, four rushing touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and a 66.3 completion percentage. He also caught a touchdown in 2024.
