The Denver Broncos interviewed Ole Miss defensive lineman Josiah Coatney at the NFL combine last week, according to The Denver Post‘s Ryan O’Halloran.

Coatney (6-3, 308 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 5.21 seconds and ran a 20-yard shuttle in 4.82 seconds at the combine. He also posted a vertical jump of 27 inches and bench-pressed 225 pounds 22 times.

During his three years with the Rebels, Coatney totaled 174 tackles and two sacks. He also broke up one pass, recovered a fumble and forced two fumbles.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Coatney to Carlos Watkins, who was selected by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2017 draft.

Coatney is not among the top 150 prospects on Luke Easterling’s 2020 NFL draft big board for Draft Wire. Coatney is projected to be selected sometime between the fourth and sixth rounds of the draft, according to Charlie Campbell of WalterFootball.com.

Denver is projected to have four picks between the fourth and sixth rounds. The draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 23-25.
