Broncos jump one spot in NFL power rankings after Week 13

Despite the loss in Houston, the Broncos rose one spot in NFL power rankings this week.

Following a heartbreaking 22-17 loss to the Houston Texans, the Denver Broncos are now ranked No. 12 in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. Believe it or not, that’s up one spot from their No. 13 ranking last week.

Here is Davis’ commentary on Denver this week:

Bad time for QB Russell Wilson (3 INTs in Sunday’s loss) to revert to the 2022 version of himself. A date with the Chargers’ conference-worst pass defense should get him back on track … if he can avoid OLB Khalil Mack.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas Chiefs (8-4) are ranked No. 5, the Los Angeles Chargers (5-7) are ranked No. 23 and the Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) are ranked No. 24. The Broncos will travel to Los Angeles this week to face the Chargers in a game Denver needs to win to stay alive in the playoff hunt.

The Carolina Panthers (1-11) are ranked No. 32 (last) and the San Francisco 49ers (9-3) are ranked No. 1. To view the complete NFL power rankings going into Week 14, visit USATODAY.com.
