Broncos jump four spots in NFL power rankings after Week 13 win

After beating the Chargers in Week 13, the Broncos jumped up four spots in NFL power rankings entering Week 14.

After defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 23-20 in Week 13, the Denver Broncos jumped four spots in Nate Davis’ weekly NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. Denver is now ranked 23rd out of 32 teams. The Broncos are still considered one of the 10 worst teams in the league — at least in the eyes of Davis — but it could be worse.

Here is Davis’ commentary with the Broncos’ ranking:

Nice debut, kid. Now all Drew Lock must do is roll into Houston, then Kansas City, trying to prove John Elway need not draft another quarterback.

Lock completed 64.3 percent of his passes on Sunday for 134 yards with two touchdown passes and one interception. He will start again against the Houston Texans in Week 14.

Denver is the third-ranked team in the AFC West, above the Chargers (No. 24) and below the Oakland Raiders (No. 22) and Kansas City Chiefs (No. 8). The Baltimore Ravens are ranked No. 1 and the New York Giants are ranked No. 32. To view the complete NFL power rankings, click here.
