The Denver Broncos will be without starting inside linebacker Josey Jewell (calf) when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football in Week 1.
In addition to Jewell, Broncos offensive lineman Billy Turner (knee), defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike, safety Delarrin Turner-Yell and wide receiver Jalen Virgil are also inactive for Monday’s game.
With Jewell sidelined, Alex Singleton is expected to start next to Jonas Griffith at inside linebacker. Justin Strnad will provide additional depth, and outside linebacker Baron Browning also has experience at inside linebacker.
With Turner unavailable, Cam Fleming is expected to start at right tackle with Calvin Anderson serving as the backup swing tackle.
Despite playing on the road, Denver is considered a 6.5-point betting favorite against Seattle, according to Tipico Sportsbook. Monday’s game will mark quarterback Russell Wilson’s first game with the Broncos, and it will also be the first time he’s faced off agianst the Seahawks, his former team.
