Broncos declared winners of Day 1 of the NFL Draft

The Broncos came out big winners after Day 1 of the NFL Draft.

After landing Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy with the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos have received praises from fans and pundits.

Draft Wire’s Jacob Infante put together a list of winners from Day 1 of the draft and the Broncos were the first team on the list.

Here’s part of Infante’s commentary on Denver’s selection:

Jeudy is a masterful route runner with quick-twitched athleticism, sharpness in his cuts and incredible intelligence to create separation. He will bring a fantastic complement to [Courtland] Sutton, as Jeudy will bring the speed to the wide receiver position, while Sutton already brings top-notch ball skills and physicality to the table.

Landing Jeudy without having to trade up was fantastic for the Broncos. Draft Wire’s Patrick Conn declared the pick one of the best in the first round.

“The way to compete with Kansas City is to load up on offense, and John Elway has done that over the last few years,” Conn wrote.

Denver’s offense will now feature Drew Lock, Sutton, Jeudy, tight end Noah Fant and Pro Bowl running backs Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay.
