Davis Webb isn’t the only member of Sean Payton’s coaching staff set to coach at a college football all-star game this winter.
Denver Broncos quality control coach Logan Kilgore will coach tight ends for the National team at the Senior Bowl later this month.
Meanwhile, Webb — Denver’s quarterbacks coach — is set to serve as the offensive coordinator for the West team at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Kilgore, 33, was a backup quarterback with the New Orleans Saints under Payton in 2014. He went on to spend four seasons in the Canadian Football League from 2015-2019. Kilgore transitioned to coaching in 2021, joining Arkansas State as an offensive assistant.
After one year at the college level, Kilgore served as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for Isidore Newman in 2022, helping Arch Manning break high school records that were previously held by his uncles, Peyton and Eli.
Kilgore planned to return to Arkansas State as a tight ends coach in 2023 before Payton asked him to join his staff in Denver. Kilgore joined the Broncos as a quality control coach last March. Now entering his second year in Denver, Kilgore will gain valuable experience and get a close look at TEs in this year’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama from Jan. 30-Feb. 3.
