Briningstool puts Clemson up 7-0 early

DJ Uiagalelei’s red zone dime puts Clemson up 7-0.

DJ Uiagalelei and the Clemson offense started out red hot against Wake Forest, driving downfield on eight plays for 88-yards that was capped off by a Jake Briningstool 12-yard touchdown reception.

The Tigers’ offense did exactly what they needed to early; get Will Shipley the ball. On the drive’s first play, Shipley burst up the middle for a 53-yard gain. He hit the whole and didn’t look back.

A pass interference call kept the Clemson drive alive as DJ Uiagalelei tested the Demon Deacons downfield on a deep ball to Joseph Ngata. Uiagalelei was patient and poised in the pocket, with the offensive line giving him some great protection to find Briningstool in the back of the end zone.

The Tigers now lead 7-0 early in the first quarter.
