On the very short wish list of Marcus Freeman and Tommy Rees in the 2023 recruiting cycle appear the names Dante Moore and Carnell Tate. Moore is the top quarterback that Notre Dame appears to have a shot at while Tate is a five-star wide receiver from the famed IMG Academy in Florida.
Tate is ranked as a a top-20 player nationally by 247Sports with the crystal ball outlooks on the same site having a 50/50 split for his commitment between Notre Dame and Ohio State.
However, a university that has turned out elite wide receiver talent for years has now re-offered Tate a scholarship and it has an obvious Notre Dame connection.

LSU and Brian Kelly are the latest to off the 6-2, 185-pound receiver who has nearly 40 offers to date including from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and plenty of others.
Based on the lack of depth at wide receiver in the years to come, landing a commitment from Tate is perhaps atop that wish list for Notre Dame this recruiting cycle. That is why new wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey wasted no time visiting IMG Academy earlier this week.
