Buffalo Bills coaches Brian Daboll and Leslie Frazier are hot commodities right now. With eight head coaching positions in the NFL open, both have already been linked to more than one of those already.

That’s great news for the duo, but worrisome for Buffalo. No one with the Bills would want the offensive and defensive coordinator, respectively, to be distracted in the midst of a playoff run.

However, this week ahead of Buffalo’s divisional round matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, the two have assured the focus is on the Chiefs. Not other teams.

“This has been a few years that we’ve talked about this. It’s pretty easy to get your focus where you need to get your focus, which is strictly on the Kansas City Chiefs,” Daboll said via video conference.

The OC also referenced that the way things are scheduled out helps and added that experience can go a long ways as well.

Daboll hasn’t spent time as a head coach in the NFL, but he has gotten interviews for such jobs in the past. Last offseason he spoke to a few teams but ultimately was not hired. Still, he said he knows how to better balance things now.

And even more experienced in such a scenario is Frazier. Promoted from his interim position to full head coach with the Minnesota Vikings in the past, Frazier has also interviewed for vacant jobs in the league. Like Daboll, Frazier did as recently as last offseason.

Again, Frazier assured this is Chiefs week. Not interview week.

“For me, it’s all about the games that we have and that’s how I approached last week leading up to our New England game, just making sure I stayed locked in on what we had to get done against that particular team,” Frazier said via video conference. “I’m not the type of person that can divide my mind and switch gears, so I had to stay locked in.”

“I have to really stay locked in on what we have to get done. It’s hard to look at another team for me personally and stay focused on what I have to get done. So, for me, it’s all about this opponent,” Frazier added. “For me, it’s been locking in on the Kansas City Chiefs.”

So far, both Daboll and Frazier have been connected to interview with two teams: The Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.

However, Daboll has reportedly been linked to the New York Giants as well. At this time, the Giants have not yet reportedly interviewed him, but it’s expected that later this week that could happen.
