BREAKING: Wisconsin lands 2022 CB Avyonne Jones

After his decomittment from Oklahoma State, 2022 CB Avyonne Jones chooses Wisconsin:

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Wisconsin football on the 2022 recruiting trail and the commits don’t seem to be slowing down soon.

The train kept on rolling Monday morning when the Badgers landed 2022 CB Avyonne Jones. Jones announced his commitment on Twitter, and chose the Badgers over California, Colorado, and others. The three-star recruit is a native of Southlake, Texas and played his high school ball at Southlake Carroll.

Jones was a dual-sport athlete in high school, also competing in track and field. He helped lead Soutlake Carroll to the 6A D-1 state title game in 2020. The Wisconsin commit took a visit to Madison on June 17 that all but sealed the deal. He was previously committed to Oklahoma State before announcing his de-commitment in May.

During his junior season, Jones totaled 46 tackles with three tackles for loss, a team-high 13 passes defended, and a lone interception. He becomes the eighth Wisconsin commit and the second CB commit (A’Khoury Lyde) in the Badger class of 2022.
