Any and all speculation surrounding Tua Tagovailoa’s NFL draft decision has now come to an end. On Monday, the Alabama star quarterback announced during a live press conference that he’ll forgo his senior season and head to the NFL.
The news, while not completely shocking, comes with a certain level of surprise, as it had been speculated that the 2018 Heisman runner-up could return for his senior season.
With Tagovailoa’s history with injuries, it seems he made the correct decision for himself and his family. But that can’t be certain until draft night when the uncertainty of his NFL future is clarified.
The good news for Alabama fans is this news comes the day after five-star phenom Bryce Young arrived in Tuscaloosa to begin his collegiate career — less than 24 hours after winning MVP honors at the All-American Bowl.
