After a long offseason and fall camp, we finally have a starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. On Friday, head coach Steve Sarkisian named incoming transfer Quinn Ewers the starter over Hudson Card according to multiple media outlets.
It really doesn’t come as much of a shock. The Horns brought Ewers in from Ohio State hoping he would take over the job. Now Ewers will be tasked with bringing his childhood team back to the top of the Big 12 and start competing for national championships once again.
Ewers has been showing why he was the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2021 class during summer and fall camps with his throws. Now we can focus on the upcoming season with Louisiana-Monroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide coming up in the first two weeks.
