BREAKING: Michigan football set to hire a familiar face as an assistant coach

Welcome back! #GoBlue

Michigan football promoted Kirk Campbell to quarterback coach late last month after he served as an offensive analyst during the 2022 football season.

But it appears Jim Harbaugh isn’t done adding to his football staff for the 2023 football season.

According to On3’s Matt Zenitz, Harbaugh is hiring a very familiar face.

The Wolverines are set to hire Chris Partridge as an assistant coach. Partridge was with Michigan from 2015-2019. During his tenure in Ann Arbor, Partridge was a director of player personnel and he coached safeties and special teams.

He left for Ole Miss after five years in Ann Arbor. He coached safeties and was the defensive coordinator this past season at Ole Miss.

Not only was Partridge a good coach, but he was known as a fantastic recruiter. This will be a welcomed addition to the coaching staff and should boost recruiting.

His role has not been announced as of this writing.
